Dale Rhodes paddled out this day for about 15 minutes. He managed to catch a few waves and here’s one of them. I guess you don’t need to be out all day when you score a wave like this.

I spotted Weston Haver who has been a fixture throughout the Malibu surf for years this morning at Zuma. With a building swell expected, it seemed as though everyone including Weston was warming, here he is throwing buckets on one of the smaller ones.
Sunday morning in front of the Lifeguard Headquarters, I caught Steven Lippman scoring some makeable and sometimes not makeable barrels at Zuma.
This was the last thing I saw when I was swimming in after shooting Russ Jones on his longboard. A beautiful evening only got better when the sun set and the sky went from blue to orange. So worth swimming in that cold water.
